I originally trained as a Bereavement Counsellor, and had 5 years experience working with the bereaved and terminally ill. I run various courses for Colleges and Private concerns on Stress Management, Anger Management and Self Esteem/Assertiveness and have taught on both the Certificate and Diploma Courses in Counselling. I am now working with S-o-T Council (Adult Learning)delivering the Intoduction to Counselling Skills Course.
I am a Partner in a Counselling Service based in Staffordshire assisting both small/middle sized business and Schools in providing Employee Assissted Programmes. This offers support services to Employers and Head Teachers addressing the twin focus of employee well being and organisational performance by offering Counselling, Coaching, Mediation and Training /staff development. The Service also offers courses in Basic communications within families and understanding the teenage years.
My original training was as a Person Centred Counsellor and I have undergone training in Rapid Cognitive Therapy. I am also a practitioner in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
I am a member of the BACP and am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice and subject to its Professional Conduct Procedure.
I attend regular counselling supervision, hold Professional Indemnity Assurance and am committed to taking Continuing Professional Development.
